Finished!

I finally completed all the blankets for Aniela and a few other things as well. Here are the pics.

Cabled Baby Blanket

The "Noah" blanket

A hat and booties set I made to go along with it.

I think the Noah blanket came out so pretty, I am very happy with that. The cabled blanket on the other hand, I'm not so thrilled with. I think next time I go to make that one, if I ever do, I'll use a different yarn. And maybe I'll try to make it bigger too. Oh well. That's all for now. My next project is to use up some of my scrap yarn. I'll be making the "yo-yo" blanket. I'll find the pattern when I have more time.

Done, Done, Done!

All my blankets for Aniela are finished! I finished the second blanket yesterday, it came out so pretty. Today I'm starting on a hat and some booties to go along with it. Last year I had crocheted some baby clothing, just to see if I could. I had no one to give them to because last year everyone had boys lol. So I need to find them so I can put them with all these things for her. Pictures to come.

Aniela's Blanket

|
I started a new blanket for Aniela today. It's the same as Noah's blanket, practically the same color. But I'm using Caron Simply Soft in off-white for Aniela's. Here's a pic of the little bit I have so far.

I'm not thrilled with the yarn so far. Maybe it's just because I'm so used to using Caron One Pound for pretty much everything. Simply Soft is nice, but I'm finding it a bit annoying to work with. Probably just me lol.

Noah's Blanket Pattern

|
Ok here is the pattern I used to create Noah's blanket. All I know about the creator of this pattern is they went by fourleafcl1064 on AOL Hometown. Unfortunately those sites have all been deleted , so I cannot find anymore info about this person. Just know that this is not my own pattern and if I do one day find the person who created this, I will of course give credit. Thank you. You can see more pics of this blanket in the post right before this one.

Cabled Baby Blanket FINISHED!

|
FINALLY! This one seemed to take me forever. Maybe it's just because I stopped so much. I finally finished it last night. And it looks pretty nice. I don't have any pics yet, I want to fix it up first before I display it for all to see lol. But soon I will post pics, promise. It really did come out nice and I hope my sis-in-law really likes it.

As for the other blanket I was making for her...I think I'm going to start over with that one. I made a simple blanket for my friend who just had a baby back in November, I think I'm going to make the same one. I really liked the way that one turned out, so I will try it again. I'd love to post the pattern, but it's not mine and the site I got it from is no longer available. So I don't know if I should. I don't know the creator's name, other wise I'd just give them credit. But it's an easy blanket that looks so nice when it's all done.

So I'll think about posting the pattern I have for this...we'll see.

What to Write?

I’m having a hard time figuring out how to start this thing lol. I decided to have a blog for my knitting/crochet. So that’s pretty much it.

I have a few projects in the works right now. I think I get bored in the middle of a project and want to start something new. So most of my projects are not completed. Right now my main 2 projects are the cabled baby blanket and a basic stockinette stitch blanket for my niece, Anniella. She’s not arrived yet, so I still have a little time left lol. I don’t have any pictures of the stockinette blanket yet, but I do have one of the cabled blanket.

It’s not the greatest picture, but you get the idea. Ok, that’s all for now. I guess I should go work on one of those blankets lol.
